Parking
Now, people parking in handicapped spots has always been a pet peeve even before the strokes, but for two weeks in a row at therapy, someone has parked smack dab in front of the handicapped access ramp. Hubby has had to literally lift my wheelchair over the curb. Now, he is very strong and that isn't a problem, but what if he wasn't? There is no way I could get in or out without his help. So help me, if they do it again and I figure out who does it...I have words for them. I am one of the few people at therapy in a wheel chair but good grief. Now my pet peeve has really grown since I am more aware of handicapped access.

Yep!
ReplyDeleteThat is horrible!! I get annoyed at those who ignore the handicapped parking in the winter if the sign is down but it is definitely a handicapped spot, seriously, people should pay attention.
ReplyDeleteThat is not something I've ever had the nerve to do, thankfully! I hope you get the chance to inform them! By the way, I have a slow cooker full of lasagna thanks to you for reminding me of that recipe!
ReplyDeleteI have a brother with MS and it just burns me up when we're with him and I see people ABUSE the handicapped parking!!
