Only problem is that it was about -17 F out. When it is this cold, snow simply doesn't stick to itself.
But, they succeeded in making a tiny one...that lasted all of 37 seconds ;-)
the tunnel without kids
Twinkie Princesses trying to reach each other's hands though the tunnel
The collapse of the tunnel onto Princess Grace's head. Princess Hope was NOT happy...since she was the chief shovel wielder. Oh well, such is the life with snow. But, at least they made a memory...I hope.
This was taken at 4:30 PM. More snow was coming down, but I was trying to shovel the 6-8 inches already on the walkway (I haven't been on top of the shoveling this week at all) before it got to heavy for me to shovel. I know I will have to do it again tomorrow.
That's ok though, hubby brought home a sinfully delicious cheesecake from a co-worker, and I need to burn off those calories. Up to 400 calories burned an hour shoveling snow!!...or so says Dr. Google ;-)
Looks super fun...and a great workout indeed! I shoveled my driveway to try to persuade Mr. Levi to pop out 11 yrs ago.
ReplyDeleteWOW ~ 4:30 and so dark!
Enjoy the cheesecake:)
Is your house on a hill? You could shovel the best sled course through your yard. We have yet to use the new sleds I bought for us. Boo.
ReplyDeleteOh, this brought back childhood memories! I use to do this when I was a kid on the FROZEN lake that we DROVE on in the winter. I would tunnel the snow that had been pushed back to make the road on the lake to our driveway.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun and making memories!!
And guess what? I am coming to Alaska in September! Only thing is I'll be in Anchorage. Want to come down? =) We're speaking at the Baptist Convention. I'm hoping to bring my kids so they can see where I grew up. Can't wait!
