NANA IS COMING!!!

My Momma, who has been promoted to "Nana" by her 6 collective grandkiddos (and one on the way in FL) is coming to AK.

Can we all just pause and give this woman a round of applause? For, you see, she is the only non-chicken in my FL based sun-loving family (on both sides).

I mean really. Who wouldn't want to come to Alaska in January? It is only averaging around -25  F or so, with a few hours of sunlight between 10 AM and 4 PM (which is a FAR cry from sunlight from 11:30-2:30). Why wouldn't people line up to leave Florida to come here? Whimps ;-)

The rest of you family members...I love you lots too...but today, Nana wins the "favorite" award. HA!

I am SO excited. The kids are SO excited. The hubby...he is excited too, but he will pretend he isn't because that is what he does ;-)

We haven't seen or hugged any family members since June. I need a dose of family.

I miss my family.

I can't wait to hug my Momma. It doesn't matter how old I am. I still need my Momma (and Daddy too...but he is chicken...a lovable chicken...but a chicken).

I bought extra boots and a coat to keep my momma warm. I will even loan her my coveted Smartwool socks! That is how much I need to see family.
