The green beans are on the left in the picture. Don't you love this way of growing them. Hubby saw it in a gardening magazine, and it was brilliant!!
They are so easy to pick, because they just hang there for you to pluck them. No more hunting under leaves.
How else do you eat green beans? Ideas would be great. I don't feel like canning yet, and freezing is silly since we are moving in 7 weeks. We just need to eat them.
So, people, how do you like green beans?
...and watch for more green bean recipes as I experiment with them.
OOOOH! Your garden looks amazing. I can't believe it! We love fresh green beans. In fact, sometimes when we need a snack, I buy green beans to eat instead of potato chips. Sitting at a baseball game with a bad case of munchies, will lead children to nibble on anything presented.
ReplyDeleteWe love to saute them lightly with olive oil, soy sauce and almonds. They have to be slightly crunchy.
Have you ever made pickled green beans? Like skinny pickles. Then you could move them easier, providing your movers aren't too rambunctious.
Green bean salad with other beans and either oil and vinegar or balsamic vinaigrette. I love getting that on salad bars and have made my own at home with fat free dressing.
ReplyDeleteO.K. I'm just blown away. We're still getting a little snow every day. SO, enjoy that garden!!! Alaska next summer!
